What are you doing in honor of National Scrapbooking Day?
I'm hoping to get some time this evening to work in my craft room and make some cards. DH and I are going to spend the afternoon working in our basement. Last week we started redoing our floor...we tore out the old carpet and are in the process of replacing it with wood flooring. And if that wasn't enough...we tore down the wood paneling on the walls! So we've got a bare canvas to work with now. The floors are partially done and we have a TON of nails to remove from the walls. They probably used close to a thousand nails on the wood paneling. What a job! But it will look so nice when we're done. Nicely painted drywall, white trim, wood flooring...ah! Can't wait to see it all done!
Yesterday I stopped by my LSS and picked up Becky Higgin's Sketches book. I love having sketches of cards as a starting point for a design and I thought that it would be equally as helpful in my scrapbooking. I know that when I sit down to scrapbook, I often have the hardest time figuring out my layout and design for the photos I'm working with. Now I just need to find the time to work on my scrapbooking!
Hope you find some creative time today!

I have had this book for sometime now and find it absolutely essential for when I scrapbook! Hope you got lots of crafting done this weekend!
I think you will love it. I have both of her sketches books and use them all the time. I hope that you had time to create this weekend! ~Erica
