Valentine's Day!
And it's my anniversary too! Jeff and I have been married for two years, it's been a great time! This last year we welcomed Bella as well, as many of you know. I could go on and on about her, but I'm here to talk about Valentine's and my anniversary!
The Valentine's card I made for Jeff (hope he's not peaking in on my blog right now!). I went through my patterned paper and found this fun one. I love the print and design of it. Something about these kinds of papers always draws my attention...the definitions and words grab me. When I first saw this paper I immediately thought of red, black & white! Simple color scheme, but how perfect for Valentine's? Then I thought of how fun it would be to put the little gator from Wild About You with it...kinda like he's fiercely in love with you or something like that, you know? I know, this little guy doesn't look mean at all, but he's filled with love!
Recipe:
Stamps-Wild About You (SU)
Ink-real red
Paper-patterned paper, real red, basic black, whisper white
Accesories-bling, satin ribbon, ticket corner punch, mini scallop scissors
Since today is also our anniversary, I had to make a card for that too! This is the only anniversary sentiment, or set for that matter, that I have. If I have any others they are hiding and haven't let me know where they are! The stamp is from Michael's dollar bins. I have a little collection going of sentiments from them. It's a really great place to stock up on sentiments without spending a bundle. The stamp itself is just the happy anniversary with the heart. I added the line doodles that form the box around it. I think it really ties in the stamp with the card and gives it a finished look. I used my mini scallop scissors to cut around the image. I SO need to get me the Nestabilities! I am jonesin' for the rectangle set! And I just found out that they are on backorder...apparently Spellbinders is having trouble keeping up with the demands of us crafty people. Gee...you'd never guess that would happen, not with everyone hopping on the latest bandwagon at the same time! *hehehehe*
I'm so excited for this evening! We are going to dinner at Daniel's Broiler...yum! They have the best steaks...filet mignon here I come!
Recipe:
Stamps-michael's dollar stamp, on the spot (I think that's the name)
Ink-pallette noir, wild wasabi, certainly celery, garden green
paper-wild wasabi, certainly celery, garden green, blue bayou
Accessories-ribbon, silver brads, mini scallop scissors, dimensionals

Two cards! What a lucky guy! Happy belated anniversary. Hope it was an amazing one. Love love love the cards. The green is so sophisticated for a guy card--the colour is great and such a great use of those stamps. The Valentine's card is to die for. That paper rocks my world! Love text papers the best. :0) Mel
