My thoughts on...
OK...I've heard all the talk that was going on over at SCS about Stampin' Up's white cardstock. I took note, but really didn't pay it much mind. There was a lot of talk about the latest white cardstock not being the same as in the past. Specifically, the paper was reported to not "take" certain inks very well, as well as the whole feel and look of the cardstock not being the same. Basically, the quality of it had gone down. Well...I think I'm starting to agree! I'm sitting in my craft room working on some favors for my best friend's bridal shower...and what do you know? The red ink I used did not stamp clearly and it took a while to dry! BTW, I'm using SU's Classic Real Red ink and Classic Sage Shadow. The difference is huge in my opinion! The Sage stamped on nice and even, along with drying quickly. No such luck for the red! Take a look at the pics and see what you think. Have you had similar problems? I'd be interested to know if you have and also what ink you noticed it with.

I stopped buying SU's white and vanilla cardstock last year. Ink did not dry on it. Didn't matter what ink I used, it stayed wet for hours. I had SU send me 3 other packs in an attempt to correct the issue. Then I gave up (I was a demo then and they sent them to me and didn't ask me to send back the old stuff.) They claimed that no one else was complaining. I like SU, but something is wrong with this paper!! Try Beckett's Expression #80 from Marco's Paper or other places. It is very similar. BTW, Love your blog!
Ink doesn't dry for me either. Until I read complaints from other people, I thought it was just because the pads were new and too juicy so I tried blotting the pad a bit. Even my old pads have problems drying. I haven't complained yet, but will.
I havent noticed the ink problem but I use stazon more then other inks. I did notice the paper seemed different in the feel and the thickness. I looked at a old package of white cardstock and the weight was the same on both packages but it seemed the new white cardstock was thinner. Ive been trying not to use it as much and trying to find a alternative white cardstock
